We have all, at least sometimes, regardless of whether we are male or female, thought about aphrodisiacs and means that can improve and enhance our sex life. Well, here are a few foods that can naturally boost libido. Male And Female!
Oysters
Casanova’s famous lover reportedly started each day with 50 oysters to prepare him for strenuous afternoon socialising. Oysters were unavoidable at equally famous Roman orgies, and Roman doctors even listed them as a cure for impotence.
Part of the reason for their connection with love is their appearance, but also their reproductive cycle. Oysters release a lot of reproductive material directly into the sea, which allows them to fertilise externally.
But even before it was known how oysters reproduced, they were closely associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love and lust. All shells were sacred animals to her, and it was said that she was born in a shell and that the pearl was her sacred stone.

Avocado
Avocado was a favourite fruit of Louis XIV. The fruit has a creamy, soft texture and produces a sensual feeling when you eat it.
But there is another, bigger reason, why avocados are considered aphrodisiacs. Namely, this fruit hangs on trees in pairs, and so irresistibly resembles a certain part of the body, that the Aztecs called it ahuacatl, which also meant testicles.
When the Spaniards discovered their culture, avocados already had a good reputation as one of the fruits of love.
When the fruit was placed on the American market, the peasants chose a new name for it for easier pronunciation, but also to avoid an unpleasant connotation. Its status as an aphrodisiac – remained unchanged.
Almonds
The belief that almonds are an aphrodisiac dates back to ancient Greece. Greek couples were blessed with almonds to ensure a fertile relationship, and it was believed that a girl would dream of her future husband if she put almonds under a pillow.
In Morocco, almonds are used to pass on the happiness of newlyweds to future generations.
Pomegranate
It dates back to the time of Aphrodite, the goddess after whom the aphrodisiac was named. According to Greek legend, it was Aphrodite who planted a pomegranate on the island of Kithira.
The opening of the pomegranate reveals a multitude of seeds, and the red colour is associated with the blood of virgins – and she again with the consumption of marriage.

Frogs
It is well known that chemicals secreted by toads cause hallucinations, and some interpretations say they also have aphrodisiac properties.
Traditional Chinese medicine has produced a medicine from these toxins that reduce swelling but stimulate the body in a way that prolongs the duration of sex.
But when improperly prepared – it becomes deadly! Therefore, understand this as a notice and curiosity, not as a recommendation to try it yourself!
Rhino horn
At the beginning of the 20th century, the world population of rhinos was about half a million. By the beginning of the 21st century, that number had dropped to a few thousand, and it is getting closer to complete extinction every day.
Poachers are largely motivated by the claim that the rhino horn is a powerful aphrodisiac. It is used in Chinese medicine for various purposes – dispelling nightmares and evil spirits, relieving arthritis pain, treating colds and fevers, and even as an antidote for snake bites.

Chocolate
Some research suggests that the number of substances in chocolate that would make you feel good is so small that it doesn’t actually hold water. Still, the fact is that chocolate is at the top of every list of aphrodisiacs.
Honey and honey brandy
Here is where the name honeymoon comes from – honey is an alcoholic drink made of honey, which has long been thought to increase libido. It originates from ancient Persia when couples spent 30 days after marriage drinking honeydew every night.
They called it the month of honey, and it was later renamed the honeymoon. Recent interpretations say that honey makes us prone to falling in love because it contains significant amounts of B vitamins, proteins and oxides that help the reproductive system.
Garlic
Garlic may not seem like an ideal choice because of its strong smell, but its history as an aphrodisiac is very long. The Talmud says that garlic should be eaten on Fridays because Friday is traditionally a day when marital duties are fulfilled in bed.
Garlic has several properties that help in sexual intercourse. It gives a warm feeling to the whole body, suppresses hunger, and (by far the most romantic) kills parasites in the body. Some writings also say that it helps with jealous outbursts.
