During, but also the first moments after sex, you will probably feel very nice. With so much going on at the time, you will find it difficult to focus on what is going on in your body. However, since the sexual act involves the whole body, you will likely experience some reactions that may seem strange to you but are in fact completely normal.
There is no reason for stress. Below is a list of the most common reactions of the human body, during and after sexual intercourse, that you should not worry about.
You have vaginal gas
This often happens to most women. During penetration, together with the penis, air and fluids (except those produced by the woman herself) enter the vagina and cause gases and strange sounds.
This is something completely different from the release of gas from the anus, because vaginal gas is not a consequence of gastrointestinal bacteria, but is the result of trapped air inside the vagina. The vagina is not a flat tube but has folds in which air can be trapped.
During sex, while the penis moves inside and outside the vagina, air can enter the female genitalia. This can happen in any position of sex, but also when a woman performs certain exercises.

You have pain
According to a British study, women can experience pain after orgasm even if they did not feel pain during intercourse.
A 2009 study reported three cases of women experiencing this condition, but without a physical reason for the pain. Sexual activity releases oxytocin in the body and this causes contractions in the uterus.
If these cramps occur occasionally, there is no cause for concern. If they are very intense and frequent, then a visit to a gynaecologist is necessary.
You notice bloodstains
The most probable and simplest explanation for blood stains after sex is a small injury to the walls of the vagina. For example, if the intercourse was intense or the vagina was dry, you may see some blood on your underwear after sex.
However, according to gynaecologists, if the bleeding is intense and accompanied by pain, it could be a sign of endometriosis or some other serious problem.

You are sleepy
If you want to rest immediately after sex, you are not the only one. There are many reasons why people feel tired, but chances are you could just be physically exhausted. It is also possible for the body to react to changes in the chemicals released during and after orgasm.
You feel itchy
If you feel some kind of skin reaction on the outside of the vagina or near the thighs or abdomen, it may be due to the lubricant you are using, condoms, friction or even sex toys, especially if you are trying a new product.
If you have not used new products or none of the above happens, you may have developed an allergy, which can occur at any time with a new or current partner. However, if the symptoms are immediate and do not recur, there is no cause for concern.
Otherwise, if you notice redness, intense and prolonged itching or swelling, you need to see a doctor.
