Experimentation is equally encouraged and justified during the 1920s. But when you come to a decade more, the number 30 changes everything. That is why we have prepared a list of new rules for men between the ages of 30 and 40. So you decide if it suits you or not.
Directed haircut
This excludes asymmetrical hairstyles, Tarzan hairstyles, bleaching, dreadlocks and much more. Although you still have a broad head of ideas about “luxury” hair, you better leave them to someone who doesn’t have a proper job. Make your hairstyle simple, classic and easy to maintain. And one more thing – resist the temptation to put a whole tube of gel on your head.
Body hair
The hair that protrudes from your nose or ears is not a conscious choice, which is there. If your eyebrows are slowly crawling towards the hairline or you have many hairs on your back, it’s time to do something about it. Buy a depilatory or make an appointment at a salon and leave it to a professional.
Damage control
Some men avoid skincare, but still, look nice near 30. Fortunately, boys generally have thicker, oily skin, which is quite resistant to ageing. However, one day, this happy age will end, and all the negligence towards the skin from before will reach you. After 30, skincare and anti-age creams should become your daily routine. Also, use sunscreen to prevent collagen and elastic fibres from shrinking. And one more thing: it’s absolutely time to take off your piercings.
Handling
Grunge may have been your style during the ’20s, but neglected hands are your sure path to dismissal or loss of position and authority. After all, the hand is what almost everyone first notices when they introduce themselves, from a potential business partner to a life partner. Keep your nails neat, shorten them regularly and nourish them with nail oil.
Grey colour
Avoid black for your shoes. Choose grey. When it comes to maintenance, use a product that softens dark grey tones. Or take a semi-permanent ammonia-free paint to balance everything properly.
Shaving or beard
A pointed, well-groomed beard or a classic shave. Choose either one or the other. No more time to experiment. Micro whiskers are out of the question.
